Providence fires Keno Davis

“I appreciate everything Keno Davis has done for our basketball program during the last three years,” Driscoll said. “We are committed to finding a head coach that will guide our program and help develop our student-athletes in the classroom, in the community and on the court.” [Article]

Then Driscoll laughed and commented how he was just kidding about the first two [developing in the classroom and the community] explaining that “that’s just something we say; Winning is the only thing that matters.” He also commented that Keno Davis wasn’t cheating nearly enough to compete in the Big East, which is stacked with some great NCAA rules violators, and they are hoping to bring in a guy with a strong history of NCAA rules violations.
